I go first. Middle aged, divorced, Philosophy teacher, chess teacher, computer technician, comic-shop manager, professional moderator (i.e, paid), news writer and (currently) Freestyle Chess player. My early exposure to the character, led me to continue reading it, well past the socially accepted "appropriate" age. Surely, because Spider-Man's creators weren't just targeting kids with their stories. Over the course of the years, I've read tens of thousands of comics of all forms, sizes and shapes. Half a year ago I even submitted a script, which was immediately accepted, without almost any editing. We'll see how that goes. I started with the so-called "social net" back in '97. At the time it was about group news and mailing lists, more precisely, the Alan Moore mailing list. When I moved to another city in 2001, I became very busy and didn't come back to forums until 2008. But only in computer chess related forums. Last year I started posting over at CBR, but since the reboot I can't find it in my, to post there. And here I am.

Hi I'm John.
30. Single. Receptionist at Merseyside Police.
First exposure was the 1990's cartoon series, which is part of the reason why I became a big fan of MJ. As the years went by I became a fan of Gwen as well though not as big as a fan as I am of MJ.
My first comic was in June 1995.
I do still post at CBR. So here I am basically lol.

You already know spiderman62 from CBR, but it should be him who tells you his nick there.
I must admit that I find the choice of Carol a little peculiar, but it would be interesting right now, instead of the romantic interests he's had since OMD.
Oh, and hello David.

Hey Ozy, its out there i know but its just as peculiar as say peter/natasha or peter/jessica drew or peter/jessica jones. I think i might shift to a peter/gwen/carol the dyanmic would be awesome (unlikely to happen in the comics of course). Peter could be the brain (with parker industries and everything) carol could be the body or strength (lets face it she's stronger than peter and gwen combined0 and gwen could be the heart.

Oops! Sorry I hadn't posted here earlier, I've been so focused on the Gwen threads it slipped my mind! I'm Drew, 52, retired, I guess I'm going through a little bit of a second childhood with this interest in comics. That last regular reading I did ended in #121-122 (if you've read my posts I'm sure you're saying to yourself "No s#!t!")
Anyway, I'm a retired USAF aircraft mechanic (which given what I know, SHOULD give me an irrational, correction, RATIONAL fear of flying but it didn't! (no wartime PTSD or anything either, but I did have a major motorcycle accident that did screw me up some!)
Honestly, I'm not into comics per se anymore, but #121 did coincide with some major events in my childhood, so it stuck with me (kinda like herpes, I imagine! LOL) So although I'm not into comics anymore I am into making a concerted effort to bring Gwen Stacy back.
Never been married (and before anybody thinks "is there something wrong with him?" Nope just never found the right women (I've also never been divorced, so maybe I was just smart enough NOT to marry the WRONG woman! Ponder THAT for a bit! ))
If you know me from CBR you will know my reputation! I assure you, all is not what Thomas Mets would have you believe! If anybody is interested, let me know and I will send you a copy of the email exchange that went on between me and the Admin who I suspect has the CBR alter ego of Doctor Cosmic, something for the present CBR users to keep in mind.
Well that's me! Hopefully it's not TMI!

Yes, he was. After learning about it, I contacted Thomas, to see how I could get in touch with him.
