#1 The High Evolutionary's lie was exposed in The Second Clone saga. The issue # is probably referenced in the Marvel Wikia Site. If not check Wikipedia under Gwen Stacy Clone You should find the reference there(again, too tired right now to research it myself.) I was finally able to track that issue down, it was Scarlet Spider Unlimted #1, where we see the High Evolutionary, admitting he planted a false journal in one of Warren's labs, and that the Gwen clone was indeed a real clone, later modified into "Joyce Delaney" by Daydreamer, who believed his lies. Thanks to Phil, who provided for the link, where everything's explained. First, thank you Phil. Second, Joyce Delaney, Gwen Miles, Clone Gwen, whatever you want to call her, is dead, BUT did she decompose into a pile of goo, or not? If not, there may still be some way to resurrect her if we wanted to, of maybe Abby-L could be regenerated like Kaine was, if we wanted to. If there are any other details that can answer these questions, I would appreciate knowing about them. Phil? Third, my preference would be for the real Gwen to be missing for the past ten years in some way aging as the other characters have aged, around ten years. Maybe amnesia, maybe imprisoned or maybe just disappearing to protect Peter, Sarah and Gabriel, or maybe she could have been given implanted memories, believed she was someone different living somewhere different, but somehow her real identity was restored and she came back to NY. Just something to think about...

She didn't decompose, but why, that's unknown. Maybe it still lived, maybe decomposition hadn't kicked in yet, maybe it was created, by a different clone process.

Just something to think about... She didn't decompose - I think they do stuff like this in case they need to change stuff - like real Gwen not moving on the bridge... i.e. yes, she was shot and it looked bad but didn't die, she only passed out...recovering later and went under ground... I'd love to bring her back into the fold having aged, and been tortured a bit ... she shouldn't just pop out of the tank thinking she's at the apartment... Think there is two ways to do this - She either saw that everyone thought she was dead and got out of town to get away from Norman and Peter (she'd have to learn their identities) - and had a life the last 10 years (met a guy, settled down, had kids, followed spiderman/goblin the the papers)...if anyone ever did see her, they'd think it was a gwen clone sighting... or If she's stashed someplace - they've been doing all kinds of stuff to her, she could drift in and out of conciousness, hear whats going on, they could take so much from her in the experiments that shes a has bad scars on her appendages ... she'd get out of there pretty broken, but be able to connect the dots. She'd also be all over the news - a reality star of sorts or She pops out of the tank older, but missing 10 years... As much as I'd love her to be a grizzled badass after finding out she lost 10 years, her dad died, etc. because of her boyfriend - don't think anything to extreme would work.
