A really confusing first issue. As if things weren't complicated enough, as a result of Secret Wars, Bendis choses to stick with his favorite narrative technique, going back and forth, to tell the story. Not only that, but he incorporates yet another mystery, in the form of something, ultimate Tony's actions may, or may have not, brought upon.
Curiously, although Marvel labels this as an earth-1610 title, it's actually the old Peter Parker, the one getting more panels.
Edit: it turned out to be ultimate Peter, although it's not 100% clear.

As the story progresses, some things begin to shape into something recognizable (although more because of the editorial recaps, in the first page, than the comic itself).
It looks like nowadays, Marvel wants you to be up to date, with all the interviews, convention panels, and Internet marketing in general. If you expect the actual pages to tell the full story, you may be in for a surprise.

Being able to tell the doppelgängers apart, is getting to be quite a daunting ask. Which Tony is which? Who's that Punisher alive? They should've dressed them in colors, like soccer teams. (At least the Hulks are distinguishable).

Yeah that's part of the reason why I can't wait for Secret Wars to be over, there's too many doppelgangers LOL. That and the delays are getting on my nerves now.

I heard that it doesn't finish until December now. But Alonso is now claiming that it won't affect the launches of the new books in October

The part of keeping other events (comics) on track, even if they're supposed to take place afterwards, doesn't come as a surprise to me. But tif they indeed postpone the last issue so much… WTF! I get it that they wanted the team, that started the Ultimate Universe, to close the door, but if Bagley can't keep up with the schedule, I'm sure there's more than one other artist, ready to take his place (and do it better, to boot).

Ah. I think I should've made myself clearer. It's not Ultimate End that's causing the delays it's the main Secret Wars book itself with Esad Ribic doing the artwork. Everything is being put back due to that apparently.

Apparently most of them seem to be suffering due to the delays including Renew Your Vows, Secret Journal, Siege just to name a few. I do know a lot of the comics I've been following during this arc have come out later than originally scheduled and apparently it's all due to Secret Wars being delayed again and again.

They ended publishing 5 issues of Renew Your Vows in the span of 3 months. I don't know what their original schedule was, but at least this one doesn't seem to have suffered much. Maybe other titles, are more entwined with Secret Wars' ending?

Maybe. I won't be able to get my comics until Saturday but apparently issue 6 of Secret Wars has been delayed again.

The final issue seems to actually take place, between Secret Wars #8 and #9. But it's not like they're giving away much of the story, anyhow. They could've perfectly published this months ago. I still blame Bagley, for this particular delay.
