About the lack of posts. Few members means little activity, I've tried to bring more people over, but haven't had much success, if you guys could bring a friend or two (hint, hint), discussions would be more lively.

The Amazing Spider-Man #12 review. Not exactly literal, because the character to do the deed, was already in the story. That's the problem with godlike people, they can't help themselves. Writing people like Solus up, is really boring. He will be shown to be able to do whatever Slott wants him to do, and have whatever weakness that will suit him. I'm voting no here. I think there's an underlying desire to clean house. You said it. I'm already getting tired of the Spider-Verse event, so I'll make it quick this time: - What kind of Spider-Man is that one being slaughtered in page 1, panel 4?
- If someone out there still thought Silk wasn't awesome enough, her webbing also protects you against fall out.
- The too convenient presence of a Jessica Drew, in the inheritors home world, turns out to be part of the weaver's plan. I can live with that.
- If Jennix can hear them talking across dimensions, I'm hoping we'll get a good explanation, as to why he allows Spider-Woman to carry on with her mission.
- I didn't know everyone in the group got their powers from a radioactive spider. Peter and Silk, ok. The others… I'd say they should suffer a little bit more.
Two of my points also taken as NERDY NITPICKS, but what can I say, some of us have eyes. I left this one aside in my desire to keep it brief. Oh, what the hell!

The Amazing Spider-Man #13 review. If only that comic were any good, it could at least give readers the chance to establish that connection with the characters. As it stands, it doesn't really matter whether you read it or not. Truer words were never spoken. The irony part I enjoyed, but I knew it was being told only for the attitude to be refuted, further down the line. Could be, it was good, and the rest has been such a lackluster… Oh yes, the geo-political ramifications weren't lost on me, either. That one, however, was probably lost on more than one non-native speaker. Haven't been reading Scarlet Spiders, but if the high points of the LS were, the destruction of the Cylons cloning facility (or was it Jennix's?) and the death of yet another Ben Reilly, I did well to skip on that. In general, I was positively pleased with Camuncoli's performance in this issue, but that child… wasn't it an infant? It looks more like a tiny person with a giant head. The scene with the indian and british Spider-Men was about the best quiet moment, I feared it was going in the wrong direction, but they reached a reasonable conclusion. I couldn't care less about the Spider-Ben uncle, but it was funny to see Otto being the one to take him out of the shelter. And speaking of the devil, nice way of catching up to Peter's ruse. Just as easily as Solus has been made a super badass, he's taken out of the picture. So little imagination to overcome impossible odds, speak volumes of the writers aptitude. Not the worst ASM tie-in, to the Spider-Verse event, so far.

The Amazing Spider-Man #14 review. You're being far too kind with the man. The scene with Gwen, as all previous iterations of the theme, was emotionally empty. Mayday's final decision, apropos her planned and vociferated vengeance, was so predictable I was actually surprised to see the events unfold that way. As for Peter finally showing leader material, I'd be remiss to grant him much credit; if it weren't for his lieutenants proficiency, his "plan" wouldn't have progressed very far. Agreed on both accounts. Finally, I'd mention how convenient it turned out to be, for Silk, Morlun's changing the ritual, when it was her turn. He stabs already-dead-Kaine, was also about to stab the baby, but Silk he only cuts in her hand.

Can't have Slott's precious Silk being too badly hurt now can we?

With Slott still in charge, that seems like a difficult proposition, but his reign will have to end, sooner or later.

Yep. Nothing against Silk yet, as I'm willing to see where they go with her book especially since Slott isn't writing her she might actually be an interesting character lol.

There's no such thing as a bad character, only bad writing. It's true, however, than some characters offer more possibilities, or may suit some writers better than others, but that's all.

Her first issue was promising I thought. Won't say too much as I don't know if you've read it or will read it.

I'll read it tomorrow, not very fond of the art, though.
In the meantime, you can already open a thread for the new series, in the Spider-Man Family sub-board.

Not to mention, and this something I think might have been commented on the Crawlspace podcast (I'm not sure since I was absent for their discussion of ASM #13) by suggesting that every Spider-Man from every other dimension was special, it actually lessened Peter Parker. They can try degrading earth 616's Spider-Man directly, or indirectly by elevating his counterparts, as much as they want. We all know which is the one who gets good sales. The scene with Gwen, as all previous iterations of the theme, was emotionally empty. Perhaps, but given how dreadful the rest of the issue was, I had to look for some silver linings. The scene with Spider-Gwen is a matter of personal taste, although it definitely does require one being familiar with The Night Gwen Stacy Died. I disagree openly on this. I still remember the day I read TNGSD, a summer day of 1979, but several reasons explain why this scene has no emotional weight for me: - Slott isn't exactly a Gwen fan.
- Spider-Gwen isn't the same character.
- The scenes, involving this Gwen and our Peter, have been scarce and fleeting.
- It's been a long time, around 30 years, since her memory had any real effect on the story. The bridge sequence, for example, has been regurgitated ad nauseam. By now, her memory is just a common place.

The Amazing Spider-Man #15 review. My thoughts exactly. On the particular matter or Superior #19, that was my main interest in the event all along, to see how it would get resolved, and they botched it. So he forgets about it all, because "crossing your own time stream will most likely addle your brain"? What about all the other time travel we've seen up to this point? I don't recall any other character getting a case of amnesia, or is that because they're from different eras AND universes? So thin. Couldn't word it better, so I won't. I'd bet there's another story in those "100 days and counting", possibly the return of Otto. You know? That was actually quite funny. The great mystery of what girls talk about, when they go to the bathroom, is finally revealed

The Amazing Spider-Man #16 review. That was the more fun, all issue long, the one with him talking about the time as he hits a clock, being second. BTW, regarding the contents of the conversation, it was nice to see that Slott, at least, hasn't forgotten that Aunt May isn't up to date on Peter's relationship status. I look forward to the scene, with him explaining they aren't any longer "together", specially after the way Spock reacted to her "concerns", back in SSM #23. I'm surprised someone even remembers, about Sajani’s past objections to the project. Kudos. That it is, on both accounts. I've said it before, character integrity isn't exactly Slott's strongest suit. Not only that. So now she realizes she can't "steal everything"? What about the self-realization from ASM #3, page 4, then? I'm under the impression, that Slott and Spencer don't exactly meet eye to eye, when it comes to sharing characters. What with Spencer using the Black Cat as a "regular" burglar and all.
