Starts in December I believe.
Anyone interested? Apparently he's basically going to be a guidance counsellor to the students rather than a headmaster or anything like that.

Yeah, I'm going to give it a try as well, mainly because I'm one of those readers that HAS to read Peter Parker.

Having read it now I must say I wasn't really that impressed overall, the art was ok I give it a 3.7 but the story just seemed a bit off to me. Don't know why can't seem to pinpoint the reason but anyhow I give it a 2.2 out of 5 so overall I give it a 5.9 out of 10.
One thing I did dislike quite a bit was Storm being, well, mean to Spider-Man from the first page and not ''liking'' him that seemed out of character for her and she didn't seem ''inverted'' either.
I also felt that some of the mutants came across as, well, prejudiced against non-mutants being there. Still, the cliff hanger was kinda interesting and like I've said previously, I'm one of those ''must read it because of Peter'' guys so I'll be back for more lol. Just hope it's better.
What did everyone else think of issue 1?

It was funny at times. I specially liked the little Nightcrawler "helping" Spidey unpack. I'd say his jokes where more in line with what you'd expect from the character than, say, the ones Slott has been writing for him, lately.
Unfortunately, the plot was rather uninteresting, and pace was too stuffed. I give it a 4.5/10.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that neither of us was impressed with the issue overall lol. Still, like I say I'll be back for more.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that neither of us was impressed with the issue overall lol. Still, like I say I'll be back for more. I'll wait at least for the storyline to end, but an ongoing series needs more than what I've seen in this first issue, to remain in the loop. Granted, Spider-Man 2099 didn't look much better at first, but PAD has a little more credit in my bank, than a new guy.

Normally I'd give it the first storyline before dropping it as well Ozy but like I've said previously I'm one of those ''Must buy because so and so is in it'' in this case the so and so is obviously Peter Parker lol.
Hopefully it'll improve though. It was only the first issue afterall.

I'm one of those ''Must buy because so and so is in it'' in this case the so and so is obviously Peter Parker lol. I must admit I'm also part of that group, to a point. If it weren't for the arachnid connection, I wouldn't be even reading most of the comics I talk about in this forum. Maybe Superior Foes and Miles Morales would make the cut, tops. But this is quickly going off-topic, maybe a "Best of 2014, Spider comics edition" thread would be a better suit, what do you say?

Maybe Ozy, can't say I've got any particular objections to the idea.

I'd say the art has improved a little in this second issue, specially the color palette used by Herring. The writing had less fortunate jokes and situations, although it maintained the general comic atmosphere, it was better paced, too.
One quibble about the storytelling, towards the end of the issue, it's not clear if that's Storm, the one depicted piloting the Blackbird. I'd say another 4.5/10.

Let's be honest, I never liked Mojo. With him as an antagonist, is no surprise the plot totally tanks, previous ones weren't exactly interesting, but the absurdity of it all has reached a point, were not even the comedy can cover up for it. Is this a parody book, I ask? If that's the case, I'd demand for it to be funnier, and yet, this is the least fun son far.
On a positive note, the art continues to improve, this time around with some good panel composition and some storytelling that is finally straightforward.
All in all a 4/10.
