In general, I don't buy trough mail anymore, I hate having to wait an indeterminate amount of time for delivery. Even with Internet tracking, packages disappear for weeks and on top of that, I have to be home to receive them. But now we have to remain home, so that's half of the problem out of the way. I'm obviously not the only one going on a shopping spree, like Mile High's Chuck Rozanski pointed out:
It all started a month ago, when I landed on their site looking for a copy of Bloodstar. The price was slashed by half, so I looked around to find they had a 65% discount in place for all back issues; needless to say, I ordered some more.
In the following days I went back to eBay (where I originally found about that HC sale) and bought a few more shelf items. That was it for week one, but once I started I found it difficult to stop. By week two, I aimed at finding all the issues currently on my want-list. After failing to obtain the correct invoice from Mile High, I compared prices and realized that even with the discount, all of the comics could be located elsewhere. It was officially open season. These are the three orders received around April 1st (originating from orders placed on March 18th): From a Spanish eBay seller, not surprisingly the first to arrive. From the UK, cheapest delivery ever AND fast too. This one from the USA, Priority Shipping proved to be quite speedy (just a little over two weeks to cross the Atlantic).

Orders also delivered on the 1st, placed on March the 25th:
These two books from a UK eBay seller, I basically wanted the second one (despite the cover) but asked for the FF one as he was letting it go for 50 bucks! From the Uk too, a different seller. Bought the first part in London, back in 2011, never saw this one. With postage, it turned out more expensive than the Byrne omnibus.
And these X-Men from yet another UK based eBay seller. I already had some of the Byrne run, but completing it was always going to be pricey. Over the years I considered several options: the Dark Phoenix TPB, Classic X-Men and last but not least, the omnibi. The TPB has good paper and the original colors, but not the covers (I actually have it). Classic had the covers at the beginning, but dropped them around issue 130, which left most of the best stuff "uncovered" (I already sold half of them). The omnibi simply split the run in the middle and include a lot of material I just don't want. They never were a serious alternative.

Also on the week of March 25th, delivered around April 8th, my first Silver Acre order. Not my first ever, the first of several I've made to them in this spree. I seem to recall they were way more expensive, their prices now look like good deals tough: The Iron Fist ones I bought in Gosh! Comics' basement, just as the original owner finished the transaction, they weren't even bagged! This was in the 90's when they were still in front of the British Museum. I sold them later, but because I didn't get rid of the rest, I opted to buy them again, to at least have consecutive numbers. Similar situation with the Action Comics. The Hulk one finishes my hunt for PAD issues. Avengers 12 is outrageously priced, but what can you do?

To finish the deliveries for the week around April 8th, three more orders placed on (or around) March 25th:
Another German seller (a different one). I wasn't aware, but it looks like American comics are quite popular over there. This is probably the only reprint I've ever chosen to have, despite already owning the originals. The deciding factor? The remastered colors, something I don't usually like. For example, I bought the 4 TPBs Dark Horse put on the market with Barry Smith's Conan, and as can be seen above, I ended up buying the Omnibus anyway. Why? Because the colors were remastered! I guess not everyone is OliOptics.
This one comes from California and completes my Powers collection. Curiously enough, the west coast showed here much faster transit times than the east coast (which is closer).
Another UK seller. I'm not convinced this copy is worth the 30 pounds it cost me, once you factor in postage, but the ad had a single photo of the item inside the bag and it wasn't even a hig-res one, so you can't really complaint. No claim on grading was made. Oh well, I always have the reprints for reading, like the rest of the saga, I mostly wanted them for the covers.

Only two parcels arrived this week (April 15th), and one was just a bunch of Mylars. The other came from the final German eBay seller I've bought from these days. This is the last order placed on the week of the 25th, and it arrived on Monday, so while it was a little bit slower, it wasn't by much: These issues I've had before, but sold them only to regret it. They're marginal Byrne stuff, but among the last comics he did I'm interested in. They're cheap too, nowadays. The last of the Conan tales I was looking for. Issue 1 has a short story, but the omnibus above includes both the color and the B&W version. Plus it's utterly expensive, so no thank you. I'm not sure why is it that I ordered this one, but it would've been an oversight no to do it. In fact, it made me realize I had forgotten to order another half a dozen SSoCs to complete Big John's run. Because of this, a 3rd order was placed at Silver Acre this Friday.

Monday, I received two orders placed on March 22 & 23 (a little under two weeks using eBay's Global shipping):
From the UK. I paid full cover price for this one, but it's in like new condition.
These three from an English rose. I basically wanted the Ellis one, but they were a steal at £6 a piece, hence the other two (I don't mind that the Kick-Ass HC has a damaged dust-jacket, at that price point).
