I wanted to get some feedback and possibly ideas, here is the basic gist from CBR user Zauri
Here is my idea Spider Titles
Amazing Spiderman
Peter Parker wakes to find that Gwen is ALIVE and living with him in Avengers Tower, say what. Peter learns that he now works with Tony Stark to create Technology that can save lives but also be used with military application. Spider-Man battles his foes in New York City while trying to develop the next gen tech that could save the world.
Regular appearances from Aunt May, Gwen, Betty, Nora, Carlie, Mary Jane and Liz Allen.
Special Appearances from Sarah Stacy – Gwen’s Niece
Arachid
Miles Morales is a big fan of Spider-Man but he learns more than he bargains for when he wakes up and finds himself with Spider Powers. Now Peter (Gwen helps) must train him how to use his powers because after all great power must also come great responsibility.
Specular Scarlet Spider
Ben Reilly is back among the living but now he is no longer Peter’s Clone but his brother GASP.
Ben uses a newly designed suit to help Spider-Man fight against the might of Kingpin as the Spectular Scarlet Spider.
Supporting Cast – Betty, Buzz, Desiree Winthrop, Elizabeth Tyne, Jessica Carradine, Shirley Lewis, Nora.
Sinister Shadow Spider
Kaine Parker has never had a family but when he wakes that’s what he has two goofy brothers and a caring mother like figure and now he seems to have a adopted daughter with a price on her head now Kaine will defend them no matter what he has to do and sacrifice to do it even his soul.

Sensational Spider-Women
Gwen didn’t sign up to do this, when she fell for Peter Parker she never thought she would end up with Spider powers training the next generation of heroes like Arachid and Spider-Girl(Anya).

Flash Thompson has survived and had a rough time now all he wants to do his to serve the his country and his home. Well Steve Rogers has an idea or two about that.

Bruce Banner has been cleared and has given up curing the hulk now he wants to calm the hulk and turn him from a monster into a hero except why then is a lot of gamma powered monsters turning up. Maybe it’s time for the Hulk to Smash.

Being a lawyer is stressful now try being a lawyer who is a green amazon. That’s what Jennifer Walters has to deal with.

While DC Comics right now is all about celebration and inclusion of both new and old concepts, while them are celebrating what they are, what they were and what they will and are literally hitting all cylinders, Marvel Comics is all about doom and gloom - Vincent Cassel flavored with Bendis-speak - and killing off characters again and again, segregation and divide. Do they really think that when they can't get neither neither new readers or people that read comics for a long time to get excited with their latest status quo shift that this is really the way to go?
Oh well, since all I can do is get more DC Rebirth comics and keep reading old stuff that I haven't checked out yet via the Marvel Unlimited app, I think that creating a thread about creating our own Marvel Rebirth even could be at least entertaining, and maybe give them some ideas to where they should be heading. Not that they would listen anyway, but at least is an interesting exercise at the beginning of a Friday evening. So here we go, what would you do if Kevin Feige of all people called you saying he picked you to 'rebirth' and reinvigorate the Marvel Comics universe? What current and alive creators, with no exclusive with the DC Comics (that we know of) would you get to write and draw the comics that you crave for? Since Marvel Comics seems completely lost with some brave exceptions, let's have some fun and just throw away some ideas out there, shall we?

My only interest is in Spider-man, and Gwen so I can only comment on those aspects. Amazing Spider-man: Since Gwen is brought back, I like it! Having Peter working for Tony Stark is pretty cool too. Peter really doesn't get the chance to exercise his scientific genius, and this would be a great way to do good as himself, not just as Spider-man. Has a lot of potential to show more of Peter's personal life which IMHO is what made his character stand out from other superheroes. I would also like Gwen to be working with him in a meaningful way as well and not just be arm candy. Arachnid: Never read anything about Miles, so not really interested, but a Spider-apprentice could have potential. Scarlet Spider: I like Ben Reilly. One of my first ideas for bringing back Gwen was to have her clone and Ben get together and live the life Pete and Gwen were denied. In your scenario, you could do the reverse of what I was considering. Pete and Gwen get together, but for those readers who prefer a single Spider-man they could follow Ben's adventures. Shadow Spider: Kaine was my back-up plan if Ben wasn't brought back, but if done right he could be made to satisfy another Spidey fan demographic. IMHO the reason he didn't work is that he was still too hardened a character. If he were to be softened up and humanized to be more like Peter or Ben he could be made to work. I believe part of the problem with him was readers couldn't empathize with him. IMHO he needs to have some feelings and conscience but also have some flaws for readers to accept his character. I feel he has to be more like-able and maybe SOME of his stories be funny. His stories could have a different tone than Spider-man, but still have him being a hero with flaws. I like the idea of Spider-Gwen, but I still want her to have a relationship with Peter. Maybe they work together on some occasions, but she would have her own adventures. Each member of the Spider-Family has a niche of their own but the main three use different aspects Peter – Brain, Ben – Speed and Kiane – Power. |

My computer skills are limited so I don't know how to separate quotes! I'm just gonna number my replies to the corresponding paragraph. Please bear with me! #2 Since Gwen was also a science major, I see her as working in R&D maybe like a Spider-man Version of "Q." I also see her out in the field with Peter, sometimes, modifying special equipment for use in specific circumstances, but also playing an active role as well, maybe backing him up with her own special weapons. I know there is a movie or TV show that has used this kind of trope before, but I can't think of one right now! The main point is that she would be an integral part of Peter's life and not "boring." Not the damsel in distress, or the doting girlfriend waiting at home, but someone that would be important enough so that Marvel would have difficulty killing her off--again. #3 Gwen could also be used to train him. Perhaps Stark could set up a separate department for Spider-man to do his own thing. Different friends, different villans and maybe even a different location, like Chicago or LA or something, but with the occasional crossover adventures with Peter, of course! #5 Don't know much about the Thunderbolts, but If Kaine were to develop more of a sense of duty and justice and be more capable of compassion then I think it could be made to work. IMHO it was this lack of likeability that made his title fizzle and why Spider-man is still as popular as he is. He can still get his hands dirty and cross morale lines that Spidey wouldn't but I think he needs to be more conflicted about doing what's necessary. I feel he needs to have SOME conscience. #6 Having Gwen with powers would mean that she could be an even more integral role in Spidey's life and there would also be room for her to have her own adventures which would make it even harder for Marvel to kill her off--again! Having her be a recurring character in several titles as well as a major secondary character in ASM would almost ensure she stays around. I don't see her being able to maintain her own title, AND be a big part of Peter's life, but several recurring roles could work very well. #7 I don't know anything about Flash as Venom, but if he would be doing black ops, there might be a place for Kaine to work with him, since black ops tends to be morally ambiguous anyway. Maybe flash could be Kaine's moral compass in some areas and Kaine be Flash's moral compass in others. If my image of Flash in this role is similar to what it actually is, then I can see them arguing all the time about what to do in various circumstances. They could end up getting into fights, but after the smoke clears, they see each others perspective and come up with a plan that will work. Two reluctant partners that end up complementing each other. It could actually lead to some funny as well as dark story lines. But these are your ideas, I'm just expressing my point of view. Hopefully my input can lead to some inspiration to develop these ideas more. Hope so! |

I also see her out in the field with Peter, sometimes, modifying special equipment for use in specific circumstances, but also playing an active role as well, maybe backing him up with her own special weapons. I know there is a movie or TV show that has used this kind of trope before, but I can't think of one right now! The main point is that she would be an integral part of Peter's life and not "boring." Not the damsel in distress, or the doting girlfriend waiting at home, but someone that would be important enough so that Marvel would have difficulty killing her off--again. Well considering that Gwen would be this universe's version of Spider-Woman I’m thinking of a dream team vibe. Of course people are going to think she is redundant if she has the exact same powers but for me it’s how she would use them. Like I said, I don't know much about Miles! What I was think was more like Horizon more than anything else with the odd teaching moment from Tony. So Peter gets his own station/Lab and can build or develop anything he wants but so long as he can use it in a non-weaponized way to help people as well as make some money Tony will let him do what he wants the only difference is that he needs an admin person which Gwen could be as well as helping develop some of it. For me it worked and also Tony wouldn’t need to do more than cameo when he presents it and that’s when Gwen could translate for Pepper. Na Dav its fine, it does give me some inspiration but for me I think I would do something like this Crossovers Venom – Sinister Shadow Spider – Because I think I could see them playing off each other especially since Flash is a huge Spidey fan boy. Arachid – Sensational Spider-Women – The kids playing overseen by the Momma Bear. Spider-Man – Scarlet Spider – After all Peter and Gwen must remember their roots. Once every Volume (24 issues/chapters) a family crossover I'll try and stick to it but sometimes it’s so easy to just have them turn up together or maybe I should do a Web Warriors title bi monthly which has all spiders unite and forget about the family event.
