''What makes a character thick Isn't it correctly expressed? BND was a sales fiasco, and only when Slott was given the reign, did ASM recover part of the lost ground. I guess that's why they let him get away with everything. (And Marvel being a business, they're right to do so).

It seems like David wants to make the headlines, after last issue's veiled criticism, now he's entering even more delicate territory, mixing religion and feminism. Catholics are like "women trapped in abusive relationships"? I hope he knows what he's doing.

Man Mountain Marko sure has changed, since his Romita days. Not just the look is updated, it seems like he's undergone some enhancement process. Last time I saw him, he was still regular muscle, but then I lost track of him in the 90's. I'm betting that's what happened to him… the 90's, you just have to love them.
Spider-Man makes a cameo appearance, and manages a good joke and all:

I've made (and probably WILL make) mistakes, just made me is all. As for my theory? Wait and see I guess. Though I suspect that if Spider-Man 2099 was a higher profile book than Peter David would have to be a bit more careful.

True. They don't seem to so far but then again it doesn't exactly seem to be a high profile book, but anyway nonetheless the book is a decent read so far.

To be honest, these PAD "gems" are actually what keeps my interest in the comic, nowadays. You may have noticed, I've axed some spider titles recently. I prefer to spend my time reading Bendis, Ellis, Garney… or revisiting the classics.

I've noticed saying that I read quite a few comics at the moment, well from my catching up ones at any rate I'm cautiously looking forward to this ''Dead No More'' story arc that's coming up, as long as Doc Ock doesn't come back as Inferior Spider-Man I'll be alright Plus I see some people are speculating that this new female villain that Slott mentions could be the Clone of Gwen Stacy which could be interesting I guess if that's the case.

Octopus back? Keep me posted on that front. As for the rest of the teasing, I don't have much interest in whatever Marvel may throw at us, via Slott (another clone, really?).

PAD's gem of the month. Not a quote this time, but a plot development: torturing the bad guy, to find the whereabouts of your "mother-in-law", because you have a bone to pick with her. Is it me, or do you find this excessive, even for a son of 90's grim and gritty?

What I think is the whole gap doesn't help because before Secret Wars it was all doom and gloom then you come back form secret wars and its a party and in this case its we need to know what happened, how did Peter earn Max's forgiveness, how did Bella and O'Grady join Parker Industries, I'm not caught up so sorry if they have been answered. BTW am I the only one who thinks Miguel should go back to the future its ok if I am.

The bigger problem, at least for me, is that with so many mega-events and new volumes, I lose track of who's who and what's what. Case in point, what forgiveness? Who was Max? Or Bella and O'Grady, for that matter.
You are not alone, if you've read my mini-reviews, if they can even be called that way, you'll notice that the issues I liked the best, were those set in 2099.
