I've tried different monitors to check how it looks. Readability problems seem to be overcome, and the banner is mostly ok. Mostly, but not in all cases. Below 1280 horizontal pixels (HD ready), Spider-Man is no longer visible on the left side of the picture. Above 1920 (full HD), there will be empty space at both sides. This couldn't be avoided without changing the image selected, and honestly, as much as I like Romita Jr. drawing Spider-Man, I don't recall a better looking panel than this one by Marcos Martin. About inserting images. They can't be uploaded directly, you have to link to an image hosting site, or point to an existing web page. For those in need, in my experience, TinyPic is the easiest among free services. No registration required. ( Superseded). Avatars. One thing this platform supports is bigger sizes, so take advantage and diversify. No more standardized, miniature avatars.

Default avatars have been a concern for me since the beginning. They're ugly. I've voiced this opinion before, but have left it up to users to change it. At some point, I decided to take matters into my own hands, because there was too many posts with a default avatar and it was ruining the look of the site. First one to have his avatar "adjudicated" was Drew. Now I've also applied to oldschool and botolo, the same avatars they have @ CBR. Users are free to change their avatars whenever they like, but I reserve the right to veto something like the default. Darthfury78, you're next.

And done, everyone has an avatar now. New users should choose one, other than default, in their first two weeks. (See the post above for a reason why).

I almost always use the "preview" mode, when I hit the reply button. BBCode is useful for editing quotes and such, but I grew tired of having it as default, so I've changed it. This is a personal setting, if you find yourself in a similar situation, here's what you have to do:
