I know it hasn't started yet but I thought maybe a thread dedicated to Renew Your Vows and Secret Wars? Since Renew Your Vows is going to be tied in to Secret Wars apparently I figured why not have a thread where we can talk about both?
Just an idea

Sounds good to me, and since the thread is dedicated to the topic of an upcoming story, there's no need to use spoiler alerts, when mentioning preview material.

Any theories as to what the conclusion will be as far as Spider-Man is concerned?

Love the art work to the first issue from what I've skimmed through thus far, haven't had a chance to properly read it however.

Mate, you're seriously behind in your reading duties.

I know, I know. I really am. And it's not just with Spider-Man or Spider-Man related stuff either. Been so freaking busy lately. Doesn't help that I'm, somewhat ironically, working on my own stories as well on top of getting preparations done for the wedding and work and everything else.
AAAGH! LOL.

Doesn't help that I'm, somewhat ironically, working on my own stories as well on top of getting preparations done for the wedding and work and everything else. AAAGH! LOL. Already married and "honeymooned", I guess you're back on the horse. I myself am getting up to date, after several weeks in the Pyrenees. Just finished issue 2, and realized why this is better than the last iteration of ASM… no jokes. The lack of trivialization, helps recapture a version of the character, that's best suited for his age. I don't know exactly, how old Peter's supposed to be, but with a child 7 or 8 years old, he should be into his thirties. What's been demanded by part of the fans, for 616-Spidey (the real one), is being offered here. I particularly liked about this issue, that they all rush to school for the "wrong" reason. Other than that, I think Slott plays it a little too hard on the wickedness, of how some of Peter's idiosyncrasies (power & responsibility, Parker luck) get twisted in this alternate reality.

Well even though I'm still catching up I have read the first two issues of Renew Your Vows and some of the Secret Wars stuff LOL.
And yeah, Slott is really pushing the idea of why the Marriage would be a bad thing for Peter LOL. But at least I'm getting a married Peter for a bit LOL.

Slott is really pushing the idea of why the Marriage would be a bad thing for Peter If that's his intention, he's doing a poor job

Well, I'm kind of liking it. Except for the shoehorning of topics (J.J.J. on a Spider-Man hate campaign?). It reminds me of the bad Asterix volumes (the ones "written" by Uderzo).
