I read the first issue and wasn't impressed at all. I've only browsed the rest, but it doesn't look like it has improved. I don't know if any of you guys tried this, but if you didn't… don't. Both art and script are mediocre at best, just not up to the Ultimate Spider-Man standard, much less the Ultimates it takes its name from. Sheer disappointment.

I've bought every issue - but no it hasn't improved that much, I wouldn't go so far as to say ''sheer disappointment'' but it's not the best series out there. It's finishing soon so I'll stick with it until the end.

The disappointment, basically comes from the fact the it has "ultimates" in the title, that sets the bar quite high. Otherwise, mediocre is also a way of saying "average leaning towards bad".

Well to be honest I think the Ultimate Universe doesn't have very long left to go, I just don't see the Ultimate Universe getting any better outside of the Miles Morales title.

Looks like I jumped onboard at the "right" time. I'm reading everything else, now that I finished Spider-Man

That's only if the rumour is true about them ending the Ultimate Universe.

Let's see if I can get up to date, before they do. Not burning trough X-Men's issues, as fast as I did with Spidey, though.

That's only if the rumour is true about them ending the Ultimate Universe. Half a year later, rumors seem to lack little more confirmation. MM: USM has been the only title set in the Ultimate Universe, for a couple of months now, and it ends in less than a week. After that, only Ultimate End remains, to wrap things up. That should be fun, and I arrived just in the proverbial nick of time, to read it "live" (I just finished reading the 700+ comics published in the last 15 years). As for the title which is the topic of this thread, I also managed to finish it. As you said, it wasn't THAT bad, all things considered, but I still won't give it a better compliment, than the fact that, Fiffe, had the decency to keep it self-contained. Having it interacting with Miles Morales… that would've been ugly. Let's leave it at a 4/10, an easy contender for the worst Ultimate comic, but not ahead of others just as mediocre.
