Yeah I was kinda sad to see six-armed spidey get killed off as easily as that. That was really the only major problem I had with the issue as I enjoyed the issue more than Scarlet Spiders.
As for why he bothers carrying a mask I guess it's because he likes it? lol.
Lady Spider was kinda cool in this issue and I did like Gabriel trying it on with her. My guess about Stone's own motivations is that we'll probably get to see that at the end of Spider-Verse but we'll see I guess.
Story wise I give it a solid 4 and art wise I give it a 4.2 so 8.2 overall lol.

That's what really irked me. As for why he bothers carrying a mask I guess it's because he likes it? lol. Likes struggling for oxygen with every breath? Just try it with your shirt over your face, see how comfortable it is Lady Spider was kinda cool in this issue and I did like Gabriel trying it on with her. Has there been a single female character around him, he hasn't targeted (except his mother)? Story wise I give it a solid 4 and art wise I give it a 4.2 so 8.2 overall lol. 4.9/10 for me, didn't like the art in this issue, in particular.

Yeah can't say I was particularly impressed with how quickly Lady Spider and Miguel moved on from that, I get that their lives are in danger and all but still...I did mark the story aspect down a bit for that.
Lol I have actually put my shirt over my face in the past when I used to play football (soccer to you) I did it whenever I scored a goal (well twice lol) - it was in fashion at the time for players to do that back then before the whole booking them for showing off their chest thing began.
As for Gabriel....hmm trying to think of a female he hasn't hit on that wasn't his mother.....bin lady? lol

Well, for a short time it's not a big deal, but for hours on end? While you're jumping around? Not the best way to increase your oxygen intake, I'd bet.

In fairness Ozy they only did it for a few seconds while they were celebrating scoring a goal - particularly if it was an important one. After they were done celebrating they pulled their shirts back down. In fact sometimes they even took their shirt off completely. Which would also get you booked nowadays lol.

Issue 7 actually ends up leaving me with more questions than answers, regarding the perplexing ease with which Tyler came to Miguel's help. What was that about him having to go home sooner or later? I think I missed something here. Maybe an editor's note wouldn't have been out of place.
The thing with the stasis field was mostly lame. From the moment we learned the typical "the more force you apply, the stronger the filed gets" routine, it was clear he was getting out. At least, he did it in a predictable fashion. Predictable at least for everyone but the protagonist, who gave away the clue for the scape plan.
In general, PAD continues delivering acceptable entertainment. Without the hiccups and with a good penciler, this could be one the good Spider titles on the selves.

Just gotta wait and see what Tyler will want in exchange for helping Miguel in a future issue now I guess, I'm sure there'll be something other than the whole time-line and Morlun thing.
I gave the issue a 7 out of 10 personally. 3.3 for story and 3.7 for art.

I'm undecided, either a 4.9 or a 5.4. The art clearly merits a -0.1, but the script is somewhere between 5.5 and 5. PAD undoubtedly has the potential to fill you with 5.5's up to your wazoo, but he's somehow out of shape.

Probably due to the fact that his arc is being interrupted by Spider-Verse - at least that's my guess lol.

I don't think so. As I've said, the new scenario is an improvement over the first issues. It could be simply that PAD has aged badly (like Stern), but even in the 80-90's, he was inconsistent. Still, when he wrote good stories they were well rounded, back then. There's nothing utterly wrong with this comic, it's the little things that make it fall from grace: the stasis field, the Miguel-Tyler relationship, the wrong depiction of cosmic Spider-Man…

Issue 8 brings the action out of the 2099 universe, and already we can feel the effect of that, in the quality of the story. Humor takes a dive, with the same joke being used twice in the lapse of 4 pages, for example. Characters are also less interesting, I'd bet we won't see much of the earth-803, after the Spider-Verse event.
In the front of concrete data, PAD gives us a plausible reason, as to why earth-3145 is a good shelter. It's not that the spiders are all (more or less) immune to the environment, but that the inheritors are more vulnerable to radiation. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the big spider robot looks ridiculous, how can a 19th century technician be any more help in that task, than a high school student from 200 years into the future? Much less an engineer, like Miguel?
Add to that, the conversation he has with Peter, doesn't resemble much the version given in ASM #13 (sic).

The Spider-Verse event is over, but Miguel isn't back home. Instead of going to earth 616 or 928, he ends on Dystopia, and that mean one thing: The Maestro.
This is probably PAD's biggest creation. The character may not have had its own series, unlike Spider-Man 2099, but it has enjoyed its fair bit of success, and more than anything, he was a pivotal character in PAD's long run on The Incredible Hulk.
This is worthy of a 5.4/10.

Issue 10 turns out to be quite predictable. The old let-them-scape-so-we-can-follow routine, with a couple of minor tweaks. Still, seeing The Maestro loose on earth 616 promises to be lots of fun.
The whole scenery felt like little more than that. We get The Maestro, his advisor, some goons and concubines… that's it, pretty barebones.
A slight step back, to a more common 4.9/10. As usual, Sliney's art is a minus.

Issue 11. Back to the present, back to mediocrity. "The cranky girl character, who has a reason to be that way, so she's actually complex and interesting" is also back, although her reason to be cranky goes up in smoke, to be replaced by something unexpected. In her case, not even the novelty did more than raise an eyebrow. Liz is back too, and the plot from ASM, about the prison building competition, crawls into this series with her. And guess who else is brought from ASM, to discuss this particular topic? Yes, The Spider (as Felicia refers to, these days), his one-page conversation with Miguel, being the only interesting part of the whole comic. 4.4/10.
