What's your favourite movie? I've plumped for Spider-Man 2 mainly because of Doc Ock.

That's a toughie, because I haven't liked any so far Doc Ock's look, and the sequence were Sandman dissolves, are about the only things I would save from the Raimi trilogy. The Amazing Spider-Man was a resounding disappointment, because I liked Marc Webb's 500 Days of Summer, but despite Emma Stone's effort, I ended with pretty much the same sensation I had when watching the Raimi films. The last one… I don't think I'll even bring myself to watch it. Not because I expect it to be worse, but because of the ending.

Emma Stone, I guess. She's not as beautiful as Romita drew Gwen, but she gives of a vibe very much in the same wavelength.

Yes, but I have to insist, I didn't like it. I didn't like Peter, Aunt May or The Lizard. That was the villain here, IIRC. Just Gwen, the fact they reinstated the character after Raimi's mocking of it, is good enough for me to place it above its predecessors.
