I can recall a time, back in the 80's, when I bought the Spanish version of the Marvel and DC comics, and I didn't really know what I'd find at the comic-shop that week. I knew the day they were delivered, and I had a vague idea of when they should come out, but that wasn't always the case, so there was an element of surprise.
Since I started buying the originals, I first checked the Advance Comics, then the Previews; that took surprise out of the equation. I always knew what to expect for a given week.
Fast forward to today, and the first issue of the second Spider-Men mini-series becomes the first comic in more than 25 years, I wasn't expecting. Somehow, this one slipped under my radar and caught me totally unaware. A refreshing feeling I had forgotten.
The comic itself is pretty standard, for Bendis, which is above average.

I'd heard about it coming out a few weeks back and after the way the first one ended I've been expecting a sequel personally. I'm more surprised that it's took so long As for the comic I won't be able to buy it until Saturday so I'll have to wait until then before I can comment on it except to say I'm looking forward to it based on the first one.

It's only one issue, but already I feel like is one step below the original. Still, I'm really curious about what it was Peter saw on his computer screen, and how it holds up now, with the merged universes and all.

Peter's reaction at the end of Spider-Men I, does not correlate with the findings revealed in this issue. It felt like a cheap cop out to me.
