I could try and work with that so a big ass sword (what like Bettys) work with the brightness and a come get some bubble. Have i got everything. It's fine as it is for me, really. Now, I don't know what John (default-avatar) Ossie thinks about it, so you may yet have to go trough some travails to accommodate him.

We know that Peter has many love interests, Betty, Gwen, MJ, Carlie, Debra, Anna Marie and a host of others. In Ms Marvel #48 Peter had a date with Carol, now due to writers opinon it was dropped as Mr Slott and KSD didn't want to explore it, Do you think it would have been fun to explore even if it was short term. If Peter and Carol ever got together do you think it'll be referenced often in both books? (assuming they both have an ongoing at the same time) hell, do you think Avengers will reference it? Just curious as to how big a deal you think Marvel would or might make of it if they ever did get them together?

If they ever decided to follow that route, it would be silly not to give it as much advertising as possible, and what better way to do it, than by allowing cross-referencing between their titles? That's the way they built the MU, back in the 60's, after all.

Ay, but as we both know Ozy it's not the 60s anymore and continuity is not Marvel's strong-suit anymore lol.
Still, I agree that it would be silly not to advertise it if they ever went down that route.

I think i have discuss this before on the CBR threads and i would have to say yes but there are several choices a) advertise it only in the avengers this of course means that Peter would have to remain on the team as would Carol. b) have short cameos in the other's book and thats a cameo not a guest spot Carol or Peter wouldn't have to see any action. c) do the cameos but also do a team-up book similar to the Superman/Wonderwoman dc book.

I think I'd prefer option C. As the Superman/Wonder Woman book is my favourite ''Superman book'' lol. But seriously, I'd like to see a Captain Marvel/Spider-Man team-up book one day whether they're an item or not.

Truthfully each has its pros and cons
a) with the romanace only in the avengers then it wouldn't be addressed in their solos, also you are adding another chief in the kitchen so to speak. b) the cameos would have the benefit of allowing you to develop the relationship in the ongoings but at the same time not damage the character (in my plan you are talking max 3 times an arc without suiting up) c) for me IF marvel ever decided to do it this would be the wisest course except that its another book you need to align up and someone has already said its not marvels cup of tea at the minute.

a) Yeah I don't see A working to be honest as fans would be like huh? Why isn't it mentioned in their solos? b) Cameos is a good idea I agree, problem being is the inevitable crossover stories they'll have for those who don't already buy both titles for whatever reason. c) Yeah, continuity is not Marvel's strong suit at the minute I think that's at least part of the reason why there's so much talk about reboots in the last couple of years (though I don't see one happening for at LEAST another five years personally. Though I do believe that they'll reboot ONE day).
So which one of the options would you plump for? It sounds like it's between b and c for you.
