I was thinking of what we would like to see coming into and out of Spider-Verse.
This includes characters who stay in 616, spinoffs and those we would prefer not to die.
Also includes what we are looking forward to when it comes to Spider-Verse itself
I'll start us off with this idea taken from the following forum on CBR. community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?15074-What-Are-You-Looking-Forward-to-in-Spider-Verse
Like everyone else the interactions between characters. +1 for Ben to stick around, don't think Gwen will because i really want 616 back but depending on age difference it mightn't be that creepy (i do the divide by 2 add 7 rule so for Peter she would need to be 21 and i doubt she is) - For Superior to go away and i mean that go away he is the thing i'm least looking forward to but i will read the issues (i don't have a choice as this will be reprinted next year in astonishing spider-man)
I would love to have a ongoing Spider-Family Book with the following characters Peter, Ben, Kaine, Anya, Jessica (i'm not her greatest fan but she is Spider Woman) Silk() Nastasha,
Even better have them join different Avenger Teams Peter - Main Avengers Team Ben - Mighty Avengers Street Level Team Kaine - Secret Avengers Team Jessica - Main & Secret Anya - Young Avengers Black Widow - Main & Secret
So each team has a web appearance and a spider-man to suit their needs. Julia Carpenter for me should remain Madame Web and be council for the family of Spiders

We're very far apart, on this one. About the most I want out of Spider-Verse, is a chance to get Superior doing what he does. I don't really care much for all the other alternate versions. Even Miguel, stranded as he is in the present, feels inadequate. It'll be nice to see Gwen (as always), even if it's just a Gwen, and even if it's a super powered Gwen. But I fear this could be another way to dilute and rewrite the original character.

Well we're getting a Spider-Woman book about Jessica Drew which is what I've wanted for a while so I've got that at least.
As for any alternate universe characters coming into the 616 even temporarily? Maybe Spider-Gwen, though I don't think she will be I'd be interested to see her for a little while as I don't see them writing about her otherwise.
There's rumours about Ben, wouldn't be against it or for it to be honest.
I hope MayDay Parker and 616 MJ don't die, other than that I don't think any other characters I like is in danger of being killed.
Interactions I want to see in particular are Peter and Spider-Gwen, Peter meeting MayDay Parker (I have a feeling MJ won't make anything more than a cameo in the story) and Ben meeting Peter and Kaine.

The problem with all these alternate Gwen versions, starting with the original clone, is that they can be interpreted as a way of killing her memory. First, they ended her fictional biography, and soon after that, they started twisting what had previously been written. The quote from Scott Tailor I cited in the Introduce yourself thread isn't a coincidence: There's a legion of fans out there, who have known the character, both from the original source as well as the subsequent ones, simultaneously. This more recent material would also include flashbacks like Sins Past. The problem arises, when they're incapable, or unwilling, to tell where the character ends, and where the retcon begins.

Well we're getting a Spider-Woman book about Jessica Drew which is what I've wanted for a while so I've got that at least. I have to wait a while because though i read about the current spidey events i can't read them unless i get the TPB or Astonishing reprints them and they're like 6 months behind (SSM #22), i don't know what to think about the Spider-woman/Silk book atm As for any alternate universe characters coming into the 616 even temporarily? Maybe Spider-Gwen, though I don't think she will be I'd be interested to see her for a little while as I don't see them writing about her otherwise. What rumors i like Ben please tell me what rumors I hope MayDay Parker and 616 MJ don't die, other than that I don't think any other characters I like is in danger of being killed. I doubt they would kill off 616 MJ but i would love to read the riot on the forums when it did happen Interactions I want to see in particular are Peter and Spider-Gwen, Peter meeting MayDay Parker (I have a feeling MJ won't make anything more than a cameo in the story) and Ben meeting Peter and Kaine. Sounds Interesting Ozy i won't quote you but i agree its annoying when writers don't respect the character.

Ozy i won't quote you but i agree its annoying when writers don't respect the character. Now I feel insulted! Seriously, the problem isn't ONLY the lack of respect, is that every time they come up with a new version, of the character they're "disrespecting", they diminish the interest towards the original version.

It's true that stranger things have happened. Guess we'll have to wait and see regarding Gwen. As for rumours regarding Ben, there've been people in my LCS speculating that he'll come back due to Spider-Verse and I'm sure some of Ben's fans have speculated about it on CBR (could be another forum I'm thinking of though).I hope they don't kill of MJ as I wouldn't be happy about it LOL. Edit: took your comment out of the quote.

Yeah Volcaniktiger86 I agree that stranger things have happened, guess we'll just have to wait and see regarding Gwen.
As for Ben, there've been some people at the LCS that were talking about Spider-Verse and were speculating that Ben would be coming back due to it, and I think there was a forum, either CBR or somewhere else where some of his fans where speculating about it as well.
And as for MJ, I just hope they don't otherwise I'll be doing my Hulk Smash! impression LOL.

I always keep up to date with Marvel because i'm collecting the trades anyway but from what i understand its a matter of when not if Peter and MJ get back to together so Marvel don't need to worry about your Hulk Smash impression Ozy i won't quote you but i agree its annoying when writers don't respect the character. Seriously, the problem isn't ONLY the lack of respect, is that every time they come up with a new version, of the character they're "disrespecting", they diminish the interest towards the original version. Well in the case of Spider-Gwen i doubt they were going to bring her back anyway and many people believe there is little they could do to hurt the character any more than they already have.

Well seems like we have more updates as far as the aftermath is concerned. Silk and Gwen books start in February, Maestro is on the cover of Spider-Man 2099 issue 9 as Miguel discovers that his future is ''imperfect'' lol.

Yeah i'm wondering what the hell Marvel are thinking with the Silk book, from what i have read on cbr she hasn't been that well recieved but it might end up being a mini or maxi series of 12 issues.

[…] it might end up being a mini or maxi series of 12 issues. That would be, in itself, an admission of defeat.

Personally speaking, I didn't like the way Slott overdid it with Silk. He tried to make her look so awesome and frankly he came across as trying to hard. At least when Hopeless wrote her in the Spider-Woman book her inexperience showed unlike in Amazing Spider-Man.
Hopefully, when her book is released in February it'll be more like that rather than the way Slott wrote her.
