The most talked about Spider-Man event of the past few months starts with Superior Spider-Man #32. Several questions arise already: - Why does Morlun have a bag over his head?
- That's Morlun, right?
- Isn't it a little bit convenient that Otto forgets about all this, as soon as he comes back to earth-616?
- Who's to blame for the rushed pace?
For my part, John Dell's inking is the most significant aspect of the comic. I never liked Camuncoli's art, and here is less annoying, ergo Dell must be doing a good job. The short story at the end is rather uneventful. Edit: now that it has ended, I updated the title of the thread.

I have not bought this issue yet but I agree with you on Camuncoli's art.

I have not bought this issue yet but I agree with you on Camuncoli's art. Of all the artists, who have paraded on ASM in recent years, only Marcos Martin deserves a mention. (JRJR is a classic, he's not included in the mix). So, you don't mind the spoilers? That's a biggie for me.

I agree that it's convenient that Doc Ock forgets about this when he comes back into 616. As for who's to blame for the rushed pace I'd say Slott, I think he's just shoehorning this story in because it's starting to feel like he enjoys writing Ock more than Peter at the moment.
Mind you that last bit might just be me. Didn't particularly enjoy the story, kinda regret buying it now actually, the art was alright though. Overall I gave it a 4.6 out of 10 - 1.4 for the writing and 3.2 for the art.

Not so sure about who's to blame here. Are they still following the old Marvel way of doing things? If so, pace is more in the artist's department. It all boils down, to how detailed the original plot was.
As for Slott's preference towards SpOck, I have no doubt, and I'd even say it goes back a long way.
Rating-wise we're very close on the outcome, although we reach the final number trough different methods. Nice to see you going all decimal (tenths) on it, by the way!

Yeah, I use decimals to make it harder to give 10s which is what I did a lot when I was younger
As for the whole ''who's to blame thing'' I guess we'll never really know. As for Slott preferring Doc Ock - I refuse to use the name you used as I'm a Star Trek fan - Yeah, I'd say it goes back a long way myself.

I've discussed this with Thomas Mets in the past. He argued that giving lots of 10s, was in the shake of not focusing always in the same material, but if you give a high rating to most of the comics you rate, you aren't giving any of them an outstanding rating. I don't remember if my point came across. I refuse to use the name you used as I'm a Star Trek fan - Yeah, I'd say it goes back a long way myself. Oops.

Truthfully i'm torn between calling him Spock or Mr Infernior what do you guys think I liked the term "SpOck" from the get go. I didn't like the concept of replacing Peter. I found the mind swap to be a ridiculous idea. I actually enjoyed Superior, more than I'm enjoying the new ASM anyhow.

The Spider-Man Noir issue was out last week.
I thought it was more enjoyable than Amazing Spider-Man 6 personally. The art was a lot more tight and the darker tone of the book was matched by darker panels which I think suits the book.
Anyway I thought it was nice to see the difference in Mysterio and Black Cat in this compared with 616 Universe.
I won't spoil the story but I gave the art work 4 out of 5 and the story 4.2 out of 5 so overall 8.2 out of 10. Nice solid read with absolutely no dumbness that was ASM 6
I'm sure I'm being 'generous' with the score here but since this is the first time I've read Noir in such a long time I think it was more of a ''nice change'' type of feel. If I was reading this on a regular basis it'd probably be no more than 7.5 at best.
So anyone read it? Do you agree or disagree with my thoughts on it or don't you care ?
Anyways I thought it was a nice start to this whole 'Edge of Spider-Verse' thing and I'm looking forward to seeing the Gwen Stacy one (which I believe is out next week?).
I'll stop rambling now
